Role Overview

We are seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team at the new chilled potato product packing facility located in Boston, Lincolnshire. This position operates on a rolling shift pattern of four days on followed by four days off, working from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and oversee day-to-day warehouse operations ensuring smooth departmental workflow and staff management.
  • Manage the inventory of raw materials and finished products on-site by conducting precise physical stock checks and coordinating with site teams to maintain accurate records.
  • Oversee stock rotation, movement, storage conditions, and inventory aging in accordance with company procedures.
  • Reconcile raw material and finished goods stock daily using ERP systems, report discrepancies to relevant departments, and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
  • Conduct routine stock review meetings to handle variances effectively via ERP, minimizing errors such as mis-picks and expired stock.
  • Ensure excellent hygiene and housekeeping standards are maintained across freezer storage, dry goods, despatch areas, loading bays, and yard spaces. Maintain cleanliness of machinery, forklifts, and equipment.
  • Coordinate daily with production team leaders and managers to align packing schedules with dispatch priorities.
  • Enforce health and safety compliance alongside quality control throughout the processing chain.
  • Provide training and support to team members to reinforce understanding of operational requirements and processes.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of goods receipt and dispatch procedures, quality assurance practices, and safety standards.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a talent for motivating and guiding a varied team.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to improve accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff and management.
  • Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in a busy, fast-paced setting.
