Role Overview
Paul Byron Shoes is hiring a full-time Warehouse Operative for its Roscommon Town warehouse. The role works on a variable-hours basis, with expected weekly hours between 37.5 and 39. This position offers an hourly rate of €14.15 and is based at the Roscommon warehouse in person.

Paul Byron Shoes is among Ireland’s major independent footwear retailers, with 16 stores across the country. The Roscommon Town warehouse plays a central role in distributing stock efficiently and on schedule to the company’s retail locations.
What the Role Involves
- Handle incoming and outgoing deliveries by loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently.
- At times, transport stock to stores in a professional and timely way.
- Apply barcodes and process inventory with a high level of accuracy.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for store dispatch.
- Keep the warehouse tidy, organised, and well maintained.
- Carry out simple vehicle checks and ensure the delivery vehicle is clean.
- Report any stock variances or operational concerns to the Warehouse Manager.
- Follow all health and safety rules and procedures at work.
- Assist the wider warehouse team with day-to-day tasks as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Warehouse experience is preferred, though not essential.
- A full, clean driving licence is mandatory.
- A forklift licence would be a distinct advantage.
- You should have strong attention to detail and work accurately.
- Ability to work alone as well as collaboratively within a team is important.
- You need to be comfortable in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- Good spoken and written English is required.
