Role overview
This position sits within Lidl Ireland’s distribution centre in Newbridge and supports the smooth flow of goods from warehouse to store. The focus is on keeping the site safe, organised, and operating efficiently so customers receive a consistently strong shopping experience.

Key duties
- Inspect goods returned from stores and check them in properly.
- Work either a day shift from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm or a night shift from 4:00 pm to 2:00 am.
- Help keep the distribution centre tidy, safe, and free from hazards by addressing issues promptly.
- Clear waste disposal areas across the warehouse.
- Separate and handle recyclable and auxiliary materials.
- Follow health and safety rules at all times.

- Confidence using manual handling equipment, including equipment such as an order picker forklift.
- A flexible, positive, and hands-on approach.
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
- Strong teamwork skills.

Pay and benefits
The role comes with a transparent pay structure designed to support equal pay across the business.
- Starting pay of €15.40 per hour, increasing to €17.90 per hour after 3 years, with additional supplementary pay as outlined below.
- Unsocial hours supplement for work between 12:00 am and 7:00 am.

Pay progression
- Year 1: Basic rate €15.40; unsocial hours €19.25; overtime/Sundays €23.10; bank holiday €30.80.
- Year 2: Basic rate €16.20; unsocial hours €20.25; overtime/Sundays €24.30; bank holiday €32.40.
- Year 3: Basic rate €16.90; unsocial hours €21.13; overtime/Sundays €25.35; bank holiday €33.80.
- Year 4: Basic rate €17.90; unsocial hours €22.38; overtime/Sundays €26.85; bank holiday €35.80.
