Job Overview
We are seeking a committed Warehouse Officer to manage all daily warehouse activities including inventory control, material receipt, storage, and dispatch. This role ensures accurate stock records, timely shipment, and adherence to safety standards within the warehouse located in Bengaluru.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily flow of warehouse processes: receiving, storing, dispatching, and maintaining stock.
- Validate incoming materials against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes to ensure accuracy.
- Implement appropriate stacking and storage methods to safeguard tyre quality.
- Maintain precise inventory data through ERP systems and spreadsheets alongside regular stock audits.
- Liaise with sales, procurement, and logistics departments to facilitate prompt dispatches.
- Generate and manage delivery documentation like challans, gate passes, and inventory reports.
- Supervise safe loading and unloading procedures, and proper handling of materials.
- Conduct routine physical stock checks and address discrepancies promptly.
- Apply FIFO principles to inventory management where applicable.
- Ensure cleanliness, safety compliance, and orderly warehousing environment.
- Lead and assign tasks to warehouse staff effectively.
- Coordinate with transport providers to secure timely vehicle arrival and dispatch schedules.
- Manage returned items, handle damaged stock, and process warranty-related inventory.
- Maintain thorough documentation and filing systems for warehouse activities.
- Support audit activities and provide inventory insights to senior management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduation in any discipline is required; additional diploma or certification in warehouse management, supply chain, or logistics is advantageous.
- A minimum of 3-6 years of hands-on experience in warehouse operations is expected.
- Experience within the tyre, automotive, manufacturing, or distribution sectors is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Deep understanding of warehouse and inventory management techniques.
- Proficient in handling inward and outward material processing.
- Experienced in stock verification and reconciliation practices.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
- Effective communication and coordination capabilities.
- Leadership qualities with team management experience.
- Problem-solving and analytical aptitude.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet dispatch deadlines.
