Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Manager to lead and oversee our operations across three warehouses in East Tamaki and Penrose, managing a team of 5 Warehouse Team Leaders and 50 staff working in three shifts. The role focuses on ensuring safety, optimizing performance, maintaining inventory accuracy, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a strong, high-performing warehouse team.
  • Foster a culture emphasizing safety, engagement, and accountability.
  • Maintain precise inventory management and meet warehouse performance metrics.
  • Initiate and support continuous improvements in people, processes, and systems.
  • Ensure consistent achievement of delivery and customer service targets (DIFOT).
  • Collaborate closely with Planning, Production, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and HR teams.
  • Assist operational planning and identify productivity and efficiency gains.
  • Maintain compliance with warehouse protocols, quality standards, inventory controls, and audits.
  • Implement strong employee relations practices including performance management, training, attendance, and workforce capability development.
  • Champion health and safety compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 and company safety standards.
  • Support leadership across shifts by participating in trainings, workshops, meetings, and company events.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience within warehousing, logistics, distribution, or FMCG manufacturing environments.
  • Proven skills in coaching and developing teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and transport coordination.
  • A track record of driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Strong expertise in Health & Safety leadership.
  • Experience managing budgets, labor costs, productivity, and service metrics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Familiarity with ERP, inventory management, or warehouse management systems is highly beneficial.
  • Experience leading large teams and managing multiple warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing sites (responsible for 3 sites).
  • Must hold full New Zealand working rights.
