Role Overview
Join Oxford Pharmacy Store, an NHS-owned specialist pharmaceutical wholesaler, as a Warehouse Caretaker (Band 6) based in Banbury, Oxfordshire. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) involves hands-on management of site operations to ensure a safe, secure, compliant, and well-maintained warehouse environment for the storage and distribution of specialist medicines across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Health and Safety Officer and Fire Marshal for the warehouse.
- Coordinate cleaning schedules, pest control measures, and activities of external contractors.
- Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of warehouse equipment and site infrastructure.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards.
- Help foster a safe and secure environment for all colleagues, contractors, and visitors.
Requirements
- Previous experience in facilities management, health and safety, site operations, or warehouse management is essential.
- Organized, proactive, and capable of independently overseeing tasks until completion.
- Strong practical approach with attention to detail in maintaining compliance and safety.
