Store Delivery Driver

Position Overview

We are seeking a Store Delivery Driver to join our team at B&Q Cribbs Causeway for a permanent contract, working full-time at 36.75 hours per week. The role involves delivering goods locally in 3.5-ton vans with shifts scheduled Monday through Sunday, between 7am and 8pm. The hourly wage, including a location allowance, is £14.39.

Role Responsibilities

As a delivery driver, you will be entrusted with transporting a range of items, from small tins of paint to large flooring packs, directly to customers' homes. When not on delivery routes, you will assist in processing customer orders on the shopfloor using advanced technology and support your colleagues as needed. Attention to safety and efficiency is critical, along with representing the B&Q brand by prioritizing excellent customer service consistently.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

We are looking for a clear communicator who remains organized and thoughtful even under pressure. Candidates must possess a valid UK manual driving licence (Category B/B1) held for at least one year with no more than six penalty points and be capable of handling moderate to heavy lifting required by the role. Prior experience in multi-drop delivery is beneficial but not mandatory. Flexibility to work weekend, evening, and holiday shifts as part of a rota is essential. Successful applicants will undergo DVLA and DBS background checks.
