Your Role and Responsibilities
- Consistently deliver outstanding guest service aligned with brand standards.
- Uphold responsible conduct and positively represent the restaurant team and Rosewood brand.
- Quickly and effectively resolve guest and colleague complaints.
- Maintain courteous and productive interactions with guests and team members.
- Comply with all hotel policies on fire safety, hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
- Maintain impeccable personal grooming and presentation standards.
- Engage fully in comprehensive restaurant training programs coordinated with Talent & Culture.
- Have an in-depth understanding of restaurant layout, food and beverage offerings, and daily hotel occupancy data including arrivals, departures, and special guests.
- Stay informed about local sites, cultural events, and festivals to provide accurate information to guests.
- Establish professional rapport with guests and offer attentive service at all times.
- Address guest inquiries and complaints with courtesy, escalating to supervisors or managers as necessary.
- Develop guest recognition skills and maintain knowledge of guest preferences while ensuring confidentiality and updating management as required.
- Follow restaurant operational standards, service orders, opening and closing procedures diligently.
- Be punctual, prepared for shifts, and adhere strictly to break schedules.
- Ensure stations are well-stocked with clean, polished cutlery, dishware, and service items, and tables are set according to SOPs.
- Participate actively in service briefings and assist supervisors in managing your section effectively.
- Respond to menu and beverage queries knowledgeably and enthusiastically.
- Prioritize guests appropriately, including VIPs, regulars, and those requiring special attention.
- Manage cleanliness and restocking with attention to detail and promptness.
- Complete all checklists honestly and accurately.
- Adapt to evolving food and beverage industry trends and hotel policies.
- Use the Micros POS system efficiently for billing and payment handling.
- Operate all equipment with care to minimize damage or breakage.
