About the Human Resource & Organization Department

The Human Resource & Organization team shapes GIC’s talent direction and organizational culture to support the firm’s long-term performance.

About Talent & Organization Strategy

This team works on a wide range of people and organization priorities, including performance management, talent management, leadership development, succession planning, workforce strategy, employee listening and engagement, organizational values and culture, and diversity, equity and inclusion.

Role Impact

In this position, you will help support management and the Board on initiatives that strengthen the performance, development, and overall health of the employee population.

What You Will Do

  • Shape workforce strategy and organization design work through data-based analysis, scenario planning, and consideration of the impact of AI.
  • Review organizational health and engagement data, then turn those signals into focused and effective interventions.
  • Align company-wide performance management, talent review, and succession planning processes with changing business needs.
  • Advance GIC’s culture, values, and DEI agenda through organization-wide programs and engagement with senior stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, including management, Executive Committee members, and Board committees, on key people and organization matters.
  • Prepare executive- and Board-level materials that simplify complex issues into clear, practical recommendations.
  • Work across HR functions by partnering with HR business partners, People Analytics, and Talent Acquisition to deliver integrated people strategies end to end.

Requirements

  • About 7 to 10 years of experience in HR strategy, organization development, management consulting, or a similar field, ideally within a leading global organization.
  • A strong record of delivering enterprise-wide human capital strategy and transformation programs.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to frame problems, diagnose issues, and design practical solutions.
  • Proven capability to influence and advise senior stakeholders, including Executive Committee members, department heads, and Board-level audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to turn complexity into compelling, executive-ready narratives.
  • The ability to perform effectively in a fast-moving, high-performance, and uncertain environment, with strong ownership and initiative.
  • High professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion when dealing with sensitive organizational issues.

Flexibility at GIC

GIC’s offices are designed as energetic spaces for collaboration, learning, and connection. At the same time, the firm supports flexibility so employees can do their best work. Teams generally work from the office four days each week, while having the option to choose which days are worked from home, subject to situational needs.

Values and Inclusion

GIC is an equal opportunity employer and values the diversity of thought and perspective that each individual brings. An inclusive environment is seen as essential to strong contribution and competitive performance. The firm’s PRIME values — Prudence, Respect, Integrity, Merit, and Excellence — guide day-to-day decisions, long-term strategy, and relationships with clients, business partners, and employees.
