Job Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join the Listers Volvo team in Royal Leamington Spa. Due to our expanding operations, this role offers a rewarding career pathway within a modern and well-equipped workshop environment. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, plus every third Saturday from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, amounting to approximately 41.5 hours weekly.
Compensation and Benefits
- Basic salary ranges between £32,000 and £40,000 annually.
- Bonus and On-Target Earnings (OTE) range from £38,000 to £46,000 per year.
We provide excellent training opportunities aiming to support your development towards becoming a Volvo Qualified Service Technician or Master Technician.
Role Responsibilities
- Perform servicing, repair, and diagnosis on a variety of vehicles ensuring work is completed accurately on the first attempt.
- Undertake electrical and mechanical repairs including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts, and air conditioning maintenance.
- Carry out repair and maintenance on electric and hybrid vehicles using electronic diagnostic tools focused on battery, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack, and control systems.
- Install manufacturer accessories and audio equipment where required.
- Maintain a full understanding of customer satisfaction principles and their business impact.
- Operate supplementary systems such as video reporting software like CitNOW.
- Complete all service documentation adhering to manufacturer and brand standards.
- Collaborate actively with other workshop team members to share knowledge and continuously improve.
Candidate Profile
- Applicants with backgrounds as Vehicle Technicians, Mechanics, HGV Mechanics, Motor Vehicle Technicians, Auto Electricians, MOT Testers, or Apprentices in vehicle maintenance are encouraged to apply.
- Experience gained in independent garages, fast-fit centers, car supermarkets, or main dealerships is welcome.
- Minimum qualification is NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or progressing towards it.
- Qualification in Electric and Hybrid vehicle maintenance is preferred but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided.
- MOT License is advantageous but not a requirement.
- A valid full UK Driving License is mandatory.
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with a commitment to high-quality workmanship is essential.
