Voice Narrator - Remote Contract Opportunity with Earnings up to $150/hr

About the Role

Mercor specializes in linking top creative and technical professionals with premier AI research organizations. Although based in San Francisco, this position is fully remote. They seek a professional Voice Actor fluent in Standard (neutral) French to contribute voice samples for voice cloning applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality vocal recordings featuring a wide range of scripts including conversational, narrative, and instructional styles.
• Deliver speech that is clear, natural, expressive, and consistently controlled for tone, pacing, and articulation.
• Maintain stable voice quality, accent, and style across multiple recording sessions.
• Adhere strictly to specified technical standards for recording environment, microphone setup, and audio file formats.
• Provide multiple versions of recordings showing variations in emotion, emphasis, and style when requested.

Required Qualifications

• Native or near-native French speaker with a neutral, accent-free French pronunciation.
• Demonstrated background in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, or broadcasting.
• Access to a professional or semi-professional audio recording setup.
• Strong expertise in vocal intonation, clear diction, and emotional expression.
• Availability to commit 5 to 10 hours per week consistently throughout the contract period.
• Open to applicants worldwide; no location restrictions.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience creating audio for text-to-speech systems, audiobooks, phone IVR setups, or AI voice data projects.
• Familiarity with audio editing software such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper.
• Capability to deliver voice recordings in various tonal styles.
