Voice Narrator - Remote Contract Opportunity in Standard French

About the Role

Mercor, based in San Francisco and backed by renowned investors, partners top creative and technical professionals with prominent AI research laboratories. We are currently seeking a Voice Actor specializing in Standard French for a contract position that supports voice cloning projects.

Role Responsibilities

• Record superior-quality voice samples encompassing varied scripts such as conversational dialogue, storytelling, and instructional content.
• Deliver articulate, natural, and expressive vocal performances, maintaining control over tone, tempo, and pronunciation.
• Ensure voice, accent, and delivery consistency throughout multiple recording sessions.
• Adhere strictly to detailed recording protocols regarding environment setup, microphone usage, and file formatting standards.
• Provide multiple takes incorporating variations in emotion, emphasis, and style when requested.

Candidate Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

• Native or equivalent fluency in French with a clear, neutral accent free from regional influences.
• Demonstrable background in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, or broadcasting.
• Access to a professional-grade or near-professional audio recording setup.
• Strong mastery of speech intonation, clarity, and emotional expression.
• Availability to commit 5 to 10 hours weekly throughout the project period.
• Open to applicants from any location.

Desirable Skills:

• Previous experience recording for text-to-speech systems, audiobooks, IVR platforms, or AI voice data collections.
• Familiarity with audio editing software such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper.
• Capability to perform in multiple vocal styles.
