Voice Actor - Canadian French (Remote, Contract)

Mercor is a company that connects top creative and technical experts with premier AI research organizations. Based in San Francisco and backed by prominent investors, Mercor is seeking a contract-based voice actor fluent in Canadian French. This remote role involves voice recording tasks to support customer experience AI agents.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality voice recordings covering scripts ranging from conversational to narrative and instructional styles.
• Ensure speech is clear, natural, and expressive, with precise control over tone, pace, and pronunciation.
• Maintain consistency in voice quality, accent, and delivery throughout different sessions.
• Adhere strictly to recording protocols including environment setup, microphone configurations, and file formats.
• Perform multiple takes to vary emotion, emphasis, and style as necessary.

Candidate Qualifications

• Native speaker of Canadian French residing in Canada with ability to speak international French neutrally without a strong regional accent.
• Demonstrated experience in fields such as voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, or broadcasting.
• Possession of professional or near-professional recording equipment including quality microphone, quiet space, and pop filter.
• Command over intonation, diction, and emotional expressiveness.
• Capability to accurately follow scripts while retaining natural delivery.
• Availability for 5 to 10 hours weekly throughout the project's span.
• Acceptance that the voice recordings may be used to create a voice clone for the client’s AI customer experience agent, exclusively for this purpose and not for resale or other reuse.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in creating audio for text-to-speech systems, audiobooks, interactive voice response units, or AI voice data collections.
• Familiarity with audio editing software such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper.
• Versatility in delivering various vocal styles including conversational, corporate, energetic, and calm tones.

Additional Information
