Role Overview

The Visual Merchandiser is tasked with ensuring the store's visual presentation aligns with IKEA’s standards and manuals, fully bringing the IKEA Concept to life. This position demands creativity combined with meticulous attention to detail to craft inspiring, high-quality displays that embody IKEA's brand principles and support commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee the installation of visual displays across accessory shops, shop windows, activity podiums, perimeter breaks, self-serve areas, Swedish Food Market, and Exit Café zones within IKEA stores.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of the IKEA brand and concept by adhering closely to official manuals to create practical home furnishing displays.
  • Collaborate with the 1st Interior Designer to develop display solutions that are both functional and inspiring, reflecting current commercial campaigns.
  • Coordinate with Sales and In-Store Logistics teams to smoothly execute projects and daily sales activities utilizing IKEA display methods and communication tools.
  • Support the planning and deployment of the store’s commercial calendar initiatives.
  • Implement display solutions that are cost-effective, safe, environmentally conscious, and compliant with local legislation.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of local home furnishing trends to ensure relevant and competitive solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • At least two to five years of experience in retail visual merchandising or interior design.
  • Demonstrated capability in visualizing, designing, and communicating retail and home furnishing concepts.
  • Keen eye for detail and aesthetic considerations.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
