Virtual Certified Yoga Therapist

Role Overview

We seek a Certified Yoga Therapist committed to supporting veterans through virtual therapeutic sessions. This part-time W2 role is pending contract approval with a federal client and offers a fully remote work setting utilizing secure video teleconference technology via the VA WebEx platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care through individual or group yoga therapy sessions focused on veterans at the Integrative Headache Clinic within Neurology.
• Conduct sessions up to 50 minutes, providing customized yoga-based education and practices specific to each veteran's needs, emphasizing benefits for headache management.
• Complete clinical documentation promptly using VA equipment to update electronic medical records the same day as service, with final notes completed within 48 hours.
• Support care coordination by participating in virtual consultations with interdisciplinary teams, service planning meetings, and completing required VA trainings.
• Ensure patient safety and confidentiality during virtual treatments, verifying veteran locations and managing session protocols including breathwork, meditation, and movement exercises.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certification from an accredited professional yoga therapy training program with current certification from the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).
• Eligibility to pass a VA background investigation (Low Risk/Non-sensitive) and complete credentialing via VetPro before initiating care delivery.
• Strong proficiency in video conferencing technologies.
• Completion of mandatory MEDVAMC training modules.
• Physical capability to provide safe yoga instruction without limitations.

Compensation Details

• Administrative/support activities, including team meetings and training, compensated at $35 per hour.
• Yoga instruction sessions (including live session and immediate documentation) compensated at $75 per class.
