About TV Insider and Role Overview
TV Insider is a leading source for television and streaming coverage, known for its comprehensive video content produced in its Midtown New York City studio as well as on-location at red carpets and TV sets. The video team operates year-round and has growing presence on YouTube, social platforms, and its own video player. To support the expansion, the company is seeking a Video Producer to create and manage original video series leveraging exclusive talent access.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop original video series centered on TV and streaming talent alongside the video team.
- Cast on-camera talent and guests to fit each series' vision.
- Plan and organize shoot days, including scheduling and logistics.
- Coordinate additional freelance crew support when internal resources are fully allocated.
- Manage production budgets and maintain consistent release schedules for each series.
Candidate Profile and Required Skills
- Proven experience producing talent-driven videos, including interviews, game shows, or recurring formats that build and maintain an audience on a regular schedule.
- Ability to take full charge of shoot days managing crew, on-set operations, run-of-show, and ensuring talent is comfortable and punctual.
- Expertise in guiding post-production, delivering clear editing instructions and a final product aligned with the intended vision.
- Strong aesthetic judgment to develop unique visual identities for each series, including set design, graphics packages, and thumbnail creation.
- Collaborative spirit to work closely with editorial and production teams, spotting and cultivating promising format ideas through teamwork.
- Deep familiarity with video platforms such as YouTube, Reels, TikTok, Shorts, and proprietary players, understanding how to adapt edits for each medium.
- Additional advantages include hands-on motion graphics experience, success growing YouTube franchises or channels, and familiarity with branded or sponsored content.
Additional Information
This position is based in New York City at the company's Midtown studio and is a full-time, onsite role.
