We seek skilled medical writers proficient in English, passionate about producing scientifically accurate and timely content. The ideal candidate will be eager to explore new rare disease areas and collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
The Medical Writer will play a key role in communicating complex medical information clearly and in compliance with standards. Responsibilities include:
- Grasping the appropriate evidence levels necessary to meet publication and medical communication objectives.
- Conducting in-depth research to understand the specific rare diseases relevant to assigned medical communications.
- Developing, reviewing, and revising scientific documents encompassing all stages of preclinical and clinical research for conferences, medical journals, or internal use; examples include training slide decks, target product profiles, strategic plans, literature reviews, and gap analyses.
- Producing and refining medical writing content tailored for both specialized and general audiences, including abstracts, scientific exhibits, posters, and oral presentations.
- Ensuring that all deliverables comply with current regulations and guidelines.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of medical literature, ethical standards, and industry guidelines.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Advanced degree such as PhD or PharmD.
- Experience preferred in rare disease areas.
- 3 to 5 years of medical writing experience covering abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and other scientific communications.
- Prior work in industry and/or agency environments is advantageous.
- Exceptional command of the English language.
