Job description
About Quietly Studios
Quietly Studios is a media-focused venture studio that builds, scales, and runs businesses led by creators. The team collaborates with YouTubers, commentators, and entrepreneurs to develop valuable digital properties such as media brands, memberships, and premium offers.
The company operates with a compact, fast-moving team and makes heavy use of AI tools. It values strong execution over formal credentials. Its portfolio covers a wide range of topics, including politics, health, finance, family, and more, so the work changes from week to week.
Role Overview
This position is for a Video Producer & Editor who is deeply familiar with YouTube and what makes content go viral. It is not limited to basic cutting and exporting. You will be involved across several creator channels, editing long-form interview videos, creating Shorts and clips, and fine-tuning the details that improve audience retention.
You will work closely with the internal team and creator partners to shape content that performs well from the opening hook through the final frame.
Location and Work Setup
This is a hybrid position based in downtown Nashville. The schedule includes three in-person days each week at the office and two days of remote work. The company believes creative work benefits from in-person collaboration while also supporting flexibility and self-management.
What You Will Handle
In this role, you will edit long-form YouTube interviews, usually around 15 to 30 minutes, across multiple creator channels. You will build strong cold opens, improve pacing, and manage transitions so viewers keep watching. You will also match each creator’s established style, tone, and visual identity so the final video feels natural to the channel. When needed, you will add b-roll, graphics, lower thirds, and on-screen text.
You will also create short-form content by turning longer interviews into vertical clips and Shorts. These pieces should be packaged with strong hooks, captions, and formatting suited for YouTube Shorts, Reels, and TikTok. Part of the job is spotting the most engaging and shareable moments in every recording.
Another important part of the role is packaging. You may design thumbnails directly or work with others to coordinate them. You will also create title-card graphics and branded visual elements for each creator, with a clear understanding that title, thumbnail, and the first 30 seconds work together as one system.
On the workflow side, you will manage your own editing pipeline in Monday.com, coordinate deadlines with creators and internal teams, keep project assets organized, and consistently deliver on publishing timelines.
Success Expectations
In the first 90 days, you should be delivering edited content across multiple creator brands, making sure each piece feels native rather than templated. Shorts and clips should be produced and distributed regularly, thumbnails should support competitive click-through rates, and you should be able to run your own workflow without daily supervision.
Within 12 months, you are expected to build a strong understanding of what works across the creator portfolio, help improve retention curves, establish repeatable systems for editing and packaging, and become a trusted creative partner rather than just an editor.
Ideal Profile
The right candidate has prior experience editing YouTube content and understands pacing, retention, and hooks. You should be able to adapt to different creator styles and niches without making everything look uniform. A strong grasp of thumbnails, titles, and packaging is important, along with the ability to produce compelling Shorts and clips.
You should also be comfortable using AI tools in your workflow, work independently, stay organized, and meet deadlines without needing constant follow-up. A performance mindset is important here; the team wants someone who looks at analytics, not just aesthetics.
Compensation and Growth
The base salary for this role is $60,000 to $70,000 per year, with the exact amount negotiable based on experience and fit. In addition, the role includes quarterly performance bonuses. There is also a clear growth path toward Senior Producer or Head of Content Production. Because the team is small, the person in this role will have real ownership and influence from day one.
How to Apply
Applications should be submitted by email and should include a short note explaining why the role appeals to you, a brief summary of your experience in media, a resume, links to 2 to 3 YouTube videos you have edited, and links to 1 to 2 Shorts or clips you have created. The company emphasizes that it cares more about the quality of your work than your resume.
