Role Overview
The Video Editor for Paid Social will craft high-impact short-form video content tailored for paid social campaigns on platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. This role involves close cooperation with creative strategists, marketing, and content teams to convert raw footage and creative concepts into engaging, native advertisements that enhance audience interaction and campaign effectiveness. The ideal candidate balances strong technical editing expertise with a deep grasp of social media trends, storytelling, and performance marketing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Edit and produce captivating short videos for paid social advertisements.
- Convert creative briefs and raw or creator footage into engaging ads.
- Create attention-grabbing hooks within the first moments of videos.
- Develop multiple video variations customized for various campaign goals.
- Format edits in diverse aspect ratios and durations corresponding to platform requirements.
- Maintain effective pacing, storytelling, and visual appeal throughout videos.
- Collaborate closely with creative teams to align videos with campaign strategies.
- Regularly participate in ideation sessions to enhance creative concepts.
- Incorporate feedback strategically while ensuring creativity is retained.
- Stay up-to-date with platform specifications, trends, and best practices, optimizing content accordingly.
- Prepare videos optimized for A/B testing and campaign experimentation.

Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of professional experience in video editing for paid social media or digital marketing.
- Strong portfolio or demo reel featuring short-form video production skills.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and/or CapCut.
- In-depth knowledge of content requirements for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Excellent skills in storytelling, pacing, and visual editing.
- Strong organizational abilities and capability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Receptive to constructive feedback and self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience editing user-generated content for paid advertising.
- Familiarity with Adobe After Effects and motion graphics basics.
- Background working with fintech, family finance, or subscription products.
- Understanding of paid social media performance metrics (CTR, hook rate, thumb-stop rate).
