Job description
About the Company
Ancient + Brave is a women-founded wellness brand with a recognised range of collagen, supplements, and functional blends. Its products blend traditional wellness principles with scientific validation to support everyday routines that promote whole-body wellbeing.
The business has earned a place in The Sunday Times 100 fastest-growing private companies for three years in a row, most recently ranking 7th, and was placed 4th in the Oresa Retail Growth Index in 2025. The company credits this growth to the strength of its products, the community it serves, and the disciplined way it operates.
Ancient + Brave is committed to social and environmental responsibility. As a B Corp and member of 1% for the Planet, it contributes 1%+ of all revenue to environmental and social causes. The company values an inclusive workplace and operates with bravery, connection, intention, and integrity.
Role Overview
This is a fixed-term opportunity of 2–3 months, with an ideal start within the next few weeks. The employer is open to full-time, part-time, or flexible working arrangements. The role is based at the company’s Lewes office overlooking the River Ouse in East Sussex.
Ancient + Brave is looking for a Video Editor and Content Shooter with performance marketing experience to join its in-house creative team. The role is highly practical and suits someone who is confident both filming and editing. You will create video content designed to drive results, including product-led shoots, UGC-style assets, and brand-led storytelling for paid and organic social channels.
You will work alongside the Creative Strategist, Brand team, and Performance Marketing team to help build a scalable and high-quality video production pipeline that supports business growth.
Content Shooting
- Plan and film video assets in multiple formats, including UGC-style clips, product-led pieces, lifestyle content, and brand storytelling.
- Carry out shoots on location, in the studio, and at the Lewes HQ, adjusting your approach to the brief.
- Set up lighting, direct the shoot efficiently, and self-shoot where needed.
- Work comfortably with founders, internal team members, and external on-camera talent.
Video Editing
- Edit short-form video for paid social platforms such as Meta and TikTok, as well as organic channels.
- Handle cutting, subtitling, colour correction, and audio mixing to deliver polished, platform-ready content.
- Create multiple versions of the same shoot to support testing and performance optimisation.
- Deliver a high volume of content quickly while maintaining strong creative quality.
Performance-Led Creative
- Bring a performance mindset to filming and editing decisions, with attention to hooks, pacing, structure, and format.
- Partner with the Creative Strategist to execute briefs and concepts accurately.
- Refine content using performance data and testing insights.
- Use AI tools comfortably to support editing and content production at scale.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio of high-quality, native-feeling content for Meta and TikTok, along with strong technical ability in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects or similar tools. You should have proven experience creating and editing short-form content for performance marketing, ideally within D2C, wellness, beauty, or lifestyle brands.
You will need to work independently with little direction, stay organised, move quickly, and remain proactive in a fast-moving creative environment. A strong interest in video craft, performance marketing, platform trends, and purpose-led wellness storytelling will help you succeed in this role.
This opportunity is especially suited to someone who is available at short notice and open to part-time or flexible working.
Brand Values and Working Style
To thrive at Ancient + Brave, you should align with the brand’s core beliefs:
- Bravery: courageous, bold, and experimental.
- Integrity: honest, accountable, and ethical.
- Connection: collaborative, inclusive, and open.
- Intention: purposeful, proactive, and focused.
Important Notes
- This is an office-based position in Lewes, so applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance.
- Recruitment support is not being sought for this vacancy.
Why Join Ancient + Brave
The company combines community-building, innovation, sustainability, and accountability to create a business with purpose. Joining the team means contributing to a brand that is actively working toward a more sustainable future while maintaining high standards for both profit and impact.
The workplace is designed to be collaborative, inclusive, and supportive, with an environment where contributions are recognised and talents are developed.
Benefits
- Company-issued laptop and headphones, plus an office equipped with monitors, ergonomic chairs, and sit-stand desks.
- Fully stocked kitchen with regular supplies and unlimited Ancient + Brave products.
- 50% staff discount on products.
- Discretionary bonus linked to company performance and individual contribution, along with annual salary reviews.
- ESG-invested pension contributions.
- Private Medical Insurance.
- Medicash plan with specialist consultations, 24/7 virtual GP access, health screenings, dental and optical cover, complementary therapies, and confidential EAP support.
- Mintago platform access for financial wellbeing advice, retail discounts, and salary sacrifice options including childcare, cycle to work, gym membership, groceries, electric vehicle, and mobile/tech purchases.
- 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, and one additional wellbeing day.
- Ongoing training and professional development.
- Complimentary nutrition and workout sessions in the office.
- Support for charitable fundraising initiatives.
- Two social events each year.
Working Arrangements
The company expects new joiners to work from the office full time because in-person collaboration is considered important to communication, teamwork, and business momentum. Although most roles are advertised as full-time, part-time arrangements can be discussed where suitable.
Additional Information
This is an initial fixed-term role of 2–3 months and is intended to begin quickly. The employer is seeking a hands-on creative professional who can contribute immediately in a fast-growing scale-up environment.
