Job description

Opportunity

NZME is looking for a Video Content Producer to create compelling video content for internal and external clients across the organisation’s brands. In this role, you’ll collaborate with well-known media personalities and contribute as part of a creative, high-performing team based in a modern, well-equipped office in central Auckland.

The position suits someone who can take ownership of the full video production process and handle several projects at once with confidence, curiosity, and a practical, solutions-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

  • Review client and colleague briefs and turn them into workable production plans.
  • Shape concepts into scripts and storyboards.
  • Estimate production costs and build approaches that fit agreed budgets.
  • Source suitable filming locations and coordinate both on-location and studio shoots.
  • Produce, direct, and film video content while managing talent where needed.
  • Set up and run lighting, camera, and audio gear during production.
  • Keep projects on schedule and ensure the finished content meets the intended creative direction and quality standards.
  • Work closely with teammates to support an efficient and collaborative production environment.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of practical experience producing, directing, and filming video content, preferably in film, television, or video production.
  • Commercial video production experience is an advantage.
  • Comfortable using professional camera equipment and working with lighting and audio setups.
  • A showreel that demonstrates strong filming, directing, and storytelling skills.
  • Solid understanding of editing, colour grading, and sound production workflows.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with clients, talent, colleagues, and crew.
  • Interest in new methods and emerging technology in video production.
  • A qualification in film, video, or advertising creativity would be a plus.

Perks

  • Inclusive workplace culture that supports authenticity at work.
  • Opportunities for growth and professional development.
  • Access to big-name media talent.
  • Modern central Auckland workplace with radio studios, newsroom hubs, breakout areas, and an internal event space.
