Role Overview

This part-time, hybrid position based in New York, NY, calls for a Video Content Producer to spearhead the planning, production, and editing of video materials highlighting NYC’s entertainment, culture, and local services. Responsibilities span from conceptualizing video ideas, scripting and storyboarding, to coordinating shoots throughout the city’s five boroughs, managing production timelines, and collaborating with on-air talent and internal teams. The role demands capturing and editing both live and pre-recorded content, preparing materials for live streaming, and ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and content strategies. Additionally, managing the content pipeline, optimizing videos for digital platforms, and leveraging performance data and audience feedback for continuous improvement are key elements of the job.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in video and content production encompassing all stages from pre-production through post-production.
  • Bilingual proficiency is highly desirable, especially in Spanish, Mandarin, Korean, or Hindi.
  • Strong skills in content planning and strategy, including scriptwriting, preparing interview questions, and on-screen text.
  • Experience with content management and the ability to maintain organized publishing workflows.
  • Technical proficiency with professional video equipment and editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalents, along with understanding of live streaming processes.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and social media best practices tailored for video content, encompassing formatting, optimization, and audience interaction.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication abilities to handle multiple simultaneous projects under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work on location across NYC, including occasional evenings and weekends for events and live broadcasts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience in video content creation.
