Job description

Overview

We are representing a partner organization seeking a Global Vice President for its Procurement Center of Excellence in Canada. In this executive role, you will guide the modernization of enterprise procurement planning, supply chain governance, and digital enablement across a global business. Your leadership will help create stronger visibility across inventory, assets, and supply chain operations while building scalable practices that support sustainable growth. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders in procurement, finance, IT, operations, product, construction, and legal to strengthen the digital foundation behind informed decision-making and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Set the direction for the global Procurement Center of Excellence and build enterprise planning strategies that connect long-range customer demand with procurement and supply requirements.
  • Own centralized planning methods that improve transparency across inventory, asset control, product life cycles, and supply capacity.
  • Create governance structures for inventory reporting, cash flow oversight, supply commitments, liabilities, liquidity, and executive performance reporting.
  • Oversee the development and governance of enterprise master data, including SKU frameworks and digital supply chain data standards.
  • Lead the rollout and ongoing refinement of digital procurement platforms so they work smoothly across procurement, finance, IT, operations, construction, product, and legal teams.
  • Design real-time asset tracking and inventory visibility capabilities to improve efficiency and strategic decision-making.
  • Define reporting standards, operating rhythms, governance models, and performance measures that advance procurement excellence and enterprise transparency.
  • Work with executive leaders to strengthen financial planning, supply chain resilience, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Drive process improvement, digital transformation, and continuous enhancement across global procurement activities.
  • Take on additional strategic priorities and executive initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Significant executive-level experience in procurement, supply chain, finance, operations, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated success leading major cross-functional transformation programs in large, complex, global organizations.
  • Strong command of financial management topics such as inventory valuation, cash flow analysis, liabilities, liquidity planning, and supply chain financial modeling.
  • Deep expertise in procurement planning, inventory control, asset lifecycle management, and digital supply chain operations.
  • Experience building enterprise reporting structures, governance standards, and executive dashboards.
  • Solid understanding of digital procurement tools, enterprise systems integration, and data governance practices.
  • Excellent project coordination and organizational ability, including the capacity to manage several strategic initiatives at once.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience influencing senior leadership.
  • Comfort working in highly matrixed environments while balancing long-term strategy with day-to-day execution.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% depending on business needs.

Benefits

  • Annual base pay between CAD 255,000 and CAD 285,000, with eligibility for performance-related bonus opportunities.
  • Full medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Coverage for life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, and short- and long-term disability.
  • Paid vacation and substantial paid time off.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer contributions.
  • Employee Assistance Program support.
  • Access to additional optional employee benefits.
  • Flexible remote work arrangement anywhere within Canada.
  • Continuous leadership development, learning support, and career growth opportunities.
  • An inclusive and collaborative culture centered on innovation, employee well-being, and professional development.
