The Corporate Infrastructure Services Department (CISD) at GIC ensures a top-tier workplace environment that empowers employees to excel. Within CISD, the Enterprise Sourcing & Procurement (ESP) team drives strategic procurement, compliance, value optimization, and quality across the organization. The Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) function under ESP is critical for overseeing risks associated with external vendors and service providers, including operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks.
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive the strategic vision and governance framework for the organization's third-party risk management program.
- Manage remediation processes relating to vendor issues, control weaknesses, and audit findings.
- Serve as the expert advisor to senior executives and risk committees on third-party risk exposures, emerging industry trends, and regulatory updates.
- Lead the design and implementation of detailed risk assessments for critical suppliers, ensuring risk-based and proportionate approaches.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Legal, Compliance, and risk teams to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks linked to operational, financial, compliance, reputational, cybersecurity, and data privacy aspects of third-party relationships.
- Provide strategic input on contract terms, service-level agreements, and exit plans to protect the firm's interests.
- Ensure that due diligence procedures are thorough, efficient, regulatory-compliant, and aligned with internal risk appetite.
- Oversee continuous monitoring of third-party performance and adherence to compliance standards.
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of third-party relationships, conducting regular reviews to reassess risk levels.
- Deliver periodic risk reports and dashboards to senior leadership and relevant committees, highlighting trends, risks, and mitigation efforts.
- Engage with internal business units to foster a deep understanding of third-party dependencies and risks.
- Represent the TPRM function in cross-functional risk forums and regulatory or industry engagements.
- Lead communication initiatives and training programs to raise organizational awareness and capabilities in managing third-party risks.
- Champion the integration of technology, data analytics, and automation to improve the efficiency and efficacy of the TPRM program, leveraging platforms and data solutions for enhanced due diligence and monitoring.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Law, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in third-party/vendor risk management, operational risk, compliance, or procurement roles.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing third-party risk environments, preferably within financial services, technology, or consulting sectors.
- Comprehensive understanding of third-party risk management frameworks, processes, and industry best practices.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards such as MAS Outsourcing Guidelines, GDPR, FCPA, AML/KYC, and ISO 27001.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities for engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Practical experience using TPRM platforms like Coupa, RSA Archer, or ServiceNow.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, complex risk environment.
- Familiarity with Operational Resilience management is advantageous.
- Key competencies include leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, team management, and keen attention to detail aligned with corporate goals.
