Role Overview
The Director of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) leads and manages the County’s EMS department. This position is accountable for strategic leadership, administrative oversight, and the operational effectiveness of emergency medical services provided to the community. The Director directs organizational safety and ensures adherence to all regulations. Building cooperative relationships with other emergency response agencies and community groups is vital for successful service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the EMS department.
- Oversee development and enforcement of operational protocols, policies, and procedures in collaboration with the Medical Director.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain organizational safety standards.
- Supervise and guide EMS Operations Manager and supervisory personnel to manage daily EMS operations effectively.
- Promote high-quality pre-hospital care, operational efficiency, and organizational performance.
- Manage training and professional development initiatives within the department.

Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time exempt position offering a biweekly salary ranging from $4,230.76 to $5,384.61, translating to an annual salary between $110,000 and $140,000, dependent on qualifications and experience.
