Position Summary
The Vice President (VP) of Supply Chain is accountable for comprehensive strategic leadership, operational oversight, and continual enhancement of the company's supply chain framework. This senior role involves developing supply chain strategies, managing supplier relationships, refining procurement systems, overseeing production coordination, inventory control, logistics optimization, and establishing a robust global supply chain network. The VP aims to ensure an efficient, stable supply chain operation, boost operational performance, and elevate the company's competitive standing in the worldwide jewelry industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute medium- to long-term supply chain development plans.
- Optimize global supply chain structures and operational models for maximum efficiency.
- Lead ongoing development and refinement of the supply chain management system to ensure stability, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Develop and implement strategies for sourcing and managing suppliers, maintaining strong partnerships with key suppliers and strategic allies.
- Improve procurement workflows to increase cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Oversee supplier performance assessments, quality enhancement initiatives, and foster long-term collaborative supplier relationships.
- Coordinate procurement, production, quality assurance, warehousing, and logistics functions to achieve seamless supply chain integration.
- Enhance production scheduling and delivery processes to improve product availability and supply responsiveness.
- Develop inventory management strategies focused on cost reduction and improved capital turnover.
- Optimize domestic and international logistics and distribution processes to guarantee timely and high-quality deliveries to global customers.
- Analyze operational data and market trends to identify areas for efficiency improvement and implement digital supply chain management systems.
- Implement risk identification, early warning systems, and emergency response plans to maintain supply chain security and comply with all applicable legal and industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Between 20 and 25 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or related fields.
- At least 8 years in senior management roles at the director level or higher.
- Experience with supply chain operations within the jewelry, luxury goods, retail, or manufacturing industries preferred.
- Background in managing global supply chains, international procurement, or cross-border logistics is advantageous.
- Strong expertise in strategic planning, supplier relationship management, cost control, and leadership.
- Exceptional communication, coordination, business insight, and execution skills.
