Your Impact at LILA
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Finance & Operations, the Vice President of Strategic Finance will take ownership of financial planning, forecasting, and serve as a key business partner across the organization. The Vice President will lead the strategic finance division, collaborate closely with department heads to ensure efficient resource distribution, and influence critical capital and operational decisions as LILA continues to expand.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage the company's annual operating plan, long-term planning, and continuous forecasting processes.
- Develop and sustain an integrated three-statement financial model including scenario analyses.
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Leadership Team to convert plans into financial impacts and prioritize trade-offs.
- Generate presentation materials for Board meetings, investors, and the audit committee, including detailed quarterly reports.
- Oversee headcount management and compensation forecasting alongside People Operations.
- Establish and lead a capable strategic finance team, implementing structured processes to enable scalability.
Qualifications and Skills
- More than 10 years of advancing experience within strategic finance, financial planning & analysis, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting.
- At least 3 years' background working in a fast-paced, research and development-heavy environment.
- Highly proficient in financial modeling with proven impact on business decision-making.
- Direct involvement in fundraising rounds, board communications, or mergers and acquisitions.
- Strong commercial insight with ability to simplify complex financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
- Excellent communicator with executive presence, comfortable engaging with CEOs, boards, and investors.
- Demonstrated ability as a hands-on leader who can develop processes from the ground up and grow a team effectively over time.
Preferred Credentials
- MBA, CFA, or CPA certifications are advantageous.
- Experience supporting financial growth from Series B to Series D stages.
- Exposure to finance operations in publicly traded companies.
- Understanding of financials related to deep technology, hardware, or scientific research and development cost structures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
