Job description
Role Overview
JohnHart Real Estate is hiring a Vice President to build, guide, and expand a specialized Sports & Entertainment division. This is a serious leadership role focused on creating a trusted, professional service platform for athletes, entertainers, creators, executives, and other high-profile clients.
The position is centered on long-term brand value rather than publicity. Success here depends on discretion, preparation, patience, timing, and the ability to add value before asking for business.
Division Mission: NIL and Client Education
A major part of this division will support JohnHart’s commitment to helping young athletes understand the opportunities and responsibilities associated with NIL. The goal is to educate, support, and guide athletes as they build their reputation, relationships, and financial future.
JohnHart intends to use this platform to deliver practical education around branding, professionalism, real estate, financial literacy, relationships, and long-term decision-making. The company views NIL as a foundation for life beyond sports, not just a short-term transaction.
What the Role Will Do
The Vice President will help grow the Sports & Entertainment platform by recruiting the right agents, developing their capabilities, and establishing standards that protect both clients and the JohnHart brand. The role also involves building relationships across sports and entertainment communities and helping create a full-service client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Bring in agents who are well suited to the Sports & Entertainment Division.
- Spot professionals with the judgment, discipline, discretion, and relationship-building ability needed for this clientele.
- Coach and train agents to serve athletes, entertainers, executives, creators, NIL athletes, and affluent clients effectively.
- Create clear systems, expectations, and service standards for communication, follow-up, confidentiality, and premium client experience.
- Develop connections with athletes, entertainers, agents, managers, coaches, trainers, schools, clubs, foundations, business managers, attorneys, financial advisors, and community leaders.
- Help agents strengthen their own credibility and relationships within sports, entertainment, NIL, and luxury circles.
- Collaborate with leadership, marketing, media, escrow, lending, and operations teams to deliver a complete client service model.
- Contribute to events, private networking sessions, interviews, content, panels, partnerships, and community initiatives related to the division.
- Safeguard the JohnHart brand by ensuring the division is represented with purpose, discretion, and professionalism.
- Develop long-term business opportunities through referrals, relocation, leasing, purchases, sales, investments, and off-market deals.
- Act as a visible representative of the division in meetings, events, podcasts, community gatherings, and partnership settings.
Required Experience and Background
Applicants should bring at least 2 years of experience in real estate, sports, entertainment, luxury sales, private client services, business development, recruiting, talent relations, brand partnerships, NIL, or another relationship-focused field.
The ideal person has a track record of building trusted relationships with clients, referral sources, organizations, or influential communities, along with experience recruiting, coaching, training, leading, or developing people. Strong communication, professionalism, confidentiality, and brand protection instincts are essential.
Ideal Profile
The best fit is polished, connected, disciplined, and deeply relationship-oriented. This person does not need to dominate the room; they need to be the person others trust in it.
They should know how to grow a division patiently and credibly, open doors without creating risk for the company, coach agents while maintaining high standards, and protect the client, the relationship, and the brand.
Success in the Role
In this position, success means the Sports & Entertainment Division becomes a respected, organized, and real contributor to JohnHart’s business. The company will recruit and develop properly trained agents, strengthen relationships across sports, entertainment, NIL, and high-profile communities, and generate lasting value for clients, agents, partners, and the brand.
Compensation
Pay will depend on experience, qualifications, relationships, licensing status, and the overall structure of the role.
Bonus Opportunity
This position includes a performance-based bonus tied to the growth and success of the Sports & Entertainment Division.
