Role Overview
This senior executive position oversees the planning, execution, and successful delivery of all company projects within a construction or electrical contracting environment. The Vice President manages project managers, implements operational standards, and ensures all projects align with financial, schedule, safety, and quality targets.
Core Duties
- Directly oversee the entire project portfolio, including AI implementation for project delivery oversight.
- Ensure projects finish on time, within budget, and meet defined scope requirements.
- Track and analyze project performance metrics such as cost and schedule variance, productivity, and risk.
- Troubleshoot and resolve high-level issues and escalations.
- Lead and mentor project management teams through foremen and team leaders, develop staffing plans, and nurture leadership pipelines with performance appraisals.
- Maintain accountability for project outcomes.
- Manage time tracking using Tsheets and financial activities through Deltek Computer Ease, including budgeting, forecasting, margin protection, revenue tracking, change order management, and cash flow oversight.
- Coordinate with finance for work-in-progress reports, billing schedules, and cash flow management.
- Review key contracts and subcontractor agreements comprehensively.
- Align project execution with broader company growth strategies leveraging ServiceTitan for strategic planning.
- Support bid and procurement phases by assisting estimating and preconstruction teams.
- Engage in client contract negotiations and structuring.
- Standardize project management processes, reporting, and documentation; implement software platforms such as Procore, ServiceTitan, ERP systems, and safety tools like Textura and Hammertech.
- Enhance operational efficiency and scalability through process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, safety, and licensing standards while managing risk mitigation and quality assurance.
- Maintain executive-level client and stakeholder relationships, serving as the primary contact for major clients and protecting the company’s reputation and future business.
