Overview
Global Edge Group is seeking an accomplished Vice President for its Project Management Office (PMO) to lead strategic project execution within the utilities, energy, and contracting sectors. Based in Arizona, this executive role involves governing enterprise-wide project and program management efforts to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant delivery of capital investments and transformation initiatives.
Key Duties
- Formulate and implement the PMO strategy aligning with organizational objectives and expansion plans.
- Create and maintain governance structures, methodologies, and standards for project management across the enterprise.
- Supervise a diverse portfolio involving large-scale capital projects, infrastructure upgrades, renewable energy programs, and utility transmissions.
- Advise senior leadership on project outcomes, resource optimization, and strategic funding decisions.
- Lead organizational change efforts and foster ongoing improvement initiatives throughout project management functions.
- Manage enterprise-wide project portfolio, including planning, prioritization, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct executive-level portfolio reviews and ensure the use of appropriate management tools and metrics.
- Direct multidisciplinary teams comprising project and program managers, schedulers, cost analysts, and planners, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Develop effective resource allocation models to maximize workforce productivity and consistency in project execution.
- Administer multi-million-dollar capital and operating budgets, including financial monitoring, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
- Oversee contract development, negotiation, and management to mitigate commercial risks and ensure compliance.
- Foster relationships with contractors, engineering firms, regulators, and other stakeholders to support project success.
- Drive enterprise risk management, regulatory adherence, safety initiatives, and audit readiness across all project activities.
- Lead communication strategies for stakeholder engagement and during major project implementations.
Qualifications
- Earned Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Over 15 years of progressive leadership in project/program management within engineering, construction, utilities, energy, or contracting sectors.
- Minimum 7 years in executive roles managing large PMO organizations or significant capital project portfolios.
- Proven track record managing projects exceeding $50 million in value.
Additional Information
This role is full-time based in Arizona with an expected travel commitment of approximately 50%. The position is a direct hire.
