Vice President, Private Markets Investment Strategy

About the Role

We are collaborating with a premier alternative investment and financial technology firm looking to hire a Vice President specializing in Private Markets Strategy for their Investment Strategy division. This role is ideal for a private markets expert who excels in detailed research and can effectively convey complex investment ideas to financial advisors, wealth management clients, and distribution teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and shape the firm's perspectives on private equity, venture capital, private credit, infrastructure, real estate, secondaries, and other alternative strategies.
• Contribute to portfolio construction and private market allocation analyses.
• Monitor industry trends, fund flows, and investor adoption patterns within private markets.
• Create meaningful investment viewpoints and transform research findings into market commentaries, white papers, presentations, advisor education materials, webinars, conferences, and strategic discussions with clients.
• Collaborate closely with teams across Investment Strategy, Distribution, Product, Due Diligence, Research, and Client Solutions.

Candidate Qualifications

• More than eight years of professional experience in private markets, alternative investments, investment strategy, research, or similar investment functions.
• Comprehensive knowledge across a broad spectrum of private market asset classes.
• Proven track record in producing top-tier investment research and thought leadership.
• Capability to distill complex data and investment concepts into clear, pragmatic messaging.
• Strong presentation skills with previous involvement engaging advisors, wealth managers, institutional investors, or distribution teams.
• Familiarity with industry-standard platforms such as PitchBook, Preqin, Bloomberg, FactSet, or comparable research tools.
