Role Overview

The Vice President of Operations holds a critical leadership role, charged with managing the foundation's daily operations and ensuring optimal organizational effectiveness remotely, full-time. This position entails leading operational planning processes, formulating and implementing relevant policies and procedures, and regularly monitoring performance relative to strategic objectives and financial benchmarks.

The role encompasses financial stewardship functions such as budget management and profit & loss oversight. It also involves spearheading cross-departmental projects that propel the foundation's mission forward. Close collaboration with senior leadership and supervision of operational teams to uphold high customer service standards for partners, donors, and grant recipients are integral responsibilities.

Additionally, the Vice President Operations identifies areas for process optimization, risk mitigation, and contributes to long-term strategic planning efforts.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in overseeing operations management, process improvement, and daily organizational workflows.
• Extensive experience in managing budgets and analyzing financial performance with comprehensive P&L oversight.
• Strong strategic planning capabilities to prioritize operational initiatives and align resources effectively with organizational objectives.
• Skilled in project management techniques including planning, execution, and monitoring of initiatives crossing multiple departments.
• A commitment to delivering superior customer service and managing stakeholder relations in nonprofit or mission-driven sectors.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making aptitude, particularly in managing and developing teams remotely.
• Preferably experienced with nonprofit or foundation operations, including knowledge of grantmaking and regulatory compliance processes.
• Possession of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or related disciplines; an advanced degree is advantageous.
