Position Overview
The Vice President of Supply Chain will lead the company’s end-to-end supply chain strategy and day-to-day operations. This executive position covers procurement, production coordination, supplier oversight, logistics, warehousing, and the design of a worldwide supply chain network. The objective is to build a supply chain that is reliable, efficient, scalable, and cost-conscious, while also strengthening the business’s delivery performance and competitive position in the global jewelry industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Set medium- and long-range supply chain plans and define the roadmap for system development.
- Redesign and optimize the global supply network and the allocation of supply chain resources.
- Create a supply chain framework that is efficient, resilient, and able to scale with business growth.
- Lead digital adoption and process refinement across supply chain functions.
- Develop purchasing strategies for raw materials, support materials, outsourced work, and other procurement categories.
- Build, assess, and manage core vendors and strategic partners.
- Introduce supplier segmentation and performance review systems.
- Balance procurement spend with the need for uninterrupted supply and quality compliance.
- Align production planning with available supply chain capacity and resources.
- Improve production schedules and shorten delivery lead times.
- Raise order completion rates and strengthen on-time delivery performance.
- Promote smooth coordination across production and all connected supply chain stages.
- Improve international logistics planning and transportation solutions.
- Increase warehouse efficiency and inventory turnover.
- Set up inventory monitoring and early risk detection mechanisms.
- Lower total logistics and warehousing expenses.
- Work closely with procurement, production, sales, finance, and operations teams.
- Ensure supply chain initiatives are aligned with wider business goals.
- Standardize processes and encourage disciplined execution across functions.
- Enable quick response to market changes and sales requirements.
- Study supply chain data and market or industry trends to guide decisions.
- Continuously improve structure, efficiency, cost performance, and profitability.
- Strengthen responsiveness and resilience across the supply chain.
- Identify operational risks such as supply interruptions, quality issues, and transportation problems.
- Build contingency plans and risk management controls.
- Ensure compliance with international trade rules and all relevant regulations.
- Maintain stable, secure, and sustainable supply chain operations.
Qualifications
The role calls for 10 to 20 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or operations, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership position at Director level or higher. Experience in jewelry, luxury goods, or manufacturing supply chains is preferred, and international or cross-border supply chain exposure is also preferred. The ideal candidate should bring strong strategic judgment, the ability to coordinate across departments, and a proven record of execution.
