Role Overview
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for steering Vortexa’s highest-priority cross-functional projects, refining the company’s operating model, and managing performance rhythms. Acting with delegated authority from the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will synchronize teams, prioritize initiatives effectively, navigate obstacles, and ensure outcome-driven delivery. This is an active execution leadership position with direct accountability for real business impact beyond mere coordination or reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted extension of the COO, translating strategic goals into actionable initiatives and clear deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with the COO and executive leadership to define strategic plans and monitor progress.
- Communicate priorities and status updates consistently across the organization.
- Exercise authority to swiftly resolve challenges and advance decision-making.
- Lead critical company-wide programs from initiation to completion, promoting alignment and transparency.
- Manage complexities and change by fostering collaboration and establishing clear ownership.
- Ensure initiatives are well-defined, appropriately resourced, sequenced thoughtfully, and executed with rigor.
- Identify and mitigate conflicts involving priorities, dependencies, and responsibilities.
- Drive accountability focused on outcomes, maintaining a high-performance culture.
- Oversee and enhance Vortexa’s operating rhythms, including Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), strategic initiative tracking, operational reviews, and leadership communications.
- Represent the COO in forums dedicated to execution and performance when necessary.
- Detect risks and gaps in strategy implementation early and coordinate effective resolutions.
- Partner in business planning, board reporting, and strategic review activities.
- Advance operational excellence by refining governance structures and decision-making processes.
- Define and integrate enterprise-wide performance metrics that align directly with strategic objectives.
- Facilitate simplification and refinement of processes to improve execution quality during scaling.
- Promote data-driven discussions around organizational performance at leadership and executive levels.
- Enable proactive adjustments to maintain delivery consistency against goals.
Candidate Profile
- Proven background as an operator with experience scaling high-growth technology companies.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-departmental initiatives with measurable achievements.
- Strong expertise in designing and administering operational rhythms, planning frameworks, and performance management systems.
- Experience developing execution and insights capabilities in scaling organizations.
- Excellent operational judgment complemented by a strong action orientation and ability to challenge senior leaders constructively.
- A strong sense of accountability, prioritizing results over procedures.
Benefits
- Flexible hybrid working arrangement combining time at home and the office, empowering you to choose your most productive environment.
- A dynamic, diverse organization pushing the frontiers of technology and innovation.
- A motivated team of thoughtful individuals committed to excellence.
- Opportunities for continuous learning and exploration of new technological tools.
- Employee ownership with equity options available to all staff, promoting an entrepreneurial and responsible mindset.
- A collaborative culture that values joint success.
- Private health insurance coverage through Vitality to support physical wellbeing.
- A global volunteering policy encouraging community engagement and personal fulfillment.
