Role Summary
The Vice-President of Project Operations is a senior, full-time remote leadership position accountable for directing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of strategic initiatives across the organization. The role ensures that projects move from idea to completion in line with business goals, financial targets, schedules, and quality expectations. It also requires close partnership with executive leadership on portfolio-level planning, financial oversight, risk management, and resource allocation.
What You Will Do
- Lead the end-to-end operation of strategic projects, making sure each initiative stays aligned with company objectives, budget, timeline, and quality standards.
- Direct cross-functional teams and keep operational priorities clear across multiple workstreams.
- Create and improve processes, measurement frameworks, and performance indicators to track delivery and operational health.
- Monitor key milestones and intervene early when projects drift from plan.
- Partner with executive stakeholders on strategic planning and project portfolio P&L considerations.
- Oversee risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution across initiatives.
- Allocate people and other resources effectively to support delivery and business impact.
- Strengthen customer service expectations and build reliable client and stakeholder relationships.
- Improve operational workflows and promote continuous enhancement in project management practices.
Required Background
- Deep experience in operations and project management, including oversight of complex initiatives involving multiple teams.
- Hands-on exposure to P&L management, such as budgeting, forecasting, and reviewing financial performance for project portfolios.
- Ability to turn strategic goals into practical, executable project plans and roadmaps.
- Leadership experience in customer service or client-facing operations, with a focus on satisfaction and long-term relationship building.
- Senior-level work history in healthcare, health tech, or a closely related industry.
- Strong analytical judgment and problem-solving ability, with comfort using KPIs and data to improve operations.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work effectively with distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Administration, Management, or a related discipline; an advanced degree such as an MBA or MHA is preferred.
- Working knowledge of project delivery methods and tools such as Agile, PMBOK, or similar frameworks; PMP or comparable certification is considered an advantage.
