Senior Director of Operations

Role Overview

The Senior Director of Operations is a full-time remote leadership position focused on keeping the organization’s daily operations running smoothly. The role is accountable for building and refining operational processes, defining performance targets, and making sure teams consistently meet standards for quality, service, and efficiency.

What You’ll Do

You will work closely with leaders across functions to connect day-to-day execution with broader business objectives. This includes planning operational priorities, overseeing budgets and resource use, handling complex issues that affect customers and internal teams, and guiding managers to improve performance.

Regular responsibilities also include monitoring operational data, running team meetings, coaching direct reports, improving workflows and systems, and leading continuous improvement efforts. A key part of the job is strengthening customer service practices while maintaining clear communication between executive leadership and operations teams.

Qualifications

The position calls for a strong background in operations leadership, including process design, KPI setting, and managing large-scale initiatives. Candidates should bring strong analytical ability, people leadership experience, financial oversight skills, and a track record of improving service delivery and customer experience.

Success in this role also depends on excellent communication, the ability to align stakeholders across teams, and prior experience in senior operations roles, preferably in fast-moving or scaling environments. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline is preferred, and an advanced degree or relevant certification would be an added advantage. Comfort working remotely with digital collaboration tools is also important.
