Role Summary

The Vice President of Project Management is a full-time remote leadership position that guides complex, cross-functional initiatives from initial concept through final delivery. This person leads the project management discipline, establishes standards and best practices, and keeps programs aligned with core business priorities. The role involves steering project planning, managing portfolios and programs, monitoring budgets and resource use, and keeping track of timelines, risks, and interdependencies. The VP also coaches project managers, works with executive stakeholders, promotes process improvements, and supports decisions driven by data. Close partnership with operations, product, and client-facing teams is essential to deliver measurable results and high-quality service outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for complex initiatives spanning multiple teams and functions.
• Create and improve project management standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• Guide project planning, including scope definition, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and risk control.
• Oversee portfolios and programs so that work stays aligned with strategic business goals.
• Track budgets, resources, forecasts, and cost performance across initiatives.
• Monitor delivery progress, issues, risks, and cross-project dependencies.
• Mentor, coach, and support project managers and other team members.
• Partner with executive leaders and key stakeholders to communicate status, priorities, and decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement in project execution and team processes.
• Use project data and reporting to support informed, executive-level decision-making.
• Collaborate with operations, product, and client teams to ensure outcomes meet quality and business expectations.

Requirements

• Strong command of project management and project planning, with experience handling scope, timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
• Proven program management experience with oversight of multiple connected projects.
• Strong financial and budgeting capability, including forecasting, cost management, and return-on-investment analysis.
• Advanced analytical ability to read project data, identify patterns, and support leadership decisions.
• Experience leading project management teams and developing talent through coaching and mentorship.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a remote setting.
• Experience in technology, testing services, consulting, or a similar field is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline required; an advanced degree or PMP/PgMP certification is considered a plus.
