Role overview
HGDJ FINANCIERE is hiring a full-time, remote Vice President of Procurement to lead its global procurement function. The position focuses on aligning sourcing activity with the organization’s financial and strategic priorities while building efficient, ethical, and cost-effective procurement practices.
What you will do
- Shape and execute procurement strategies that support overall business objectives.
- Identify, assess, and select suppliers that can deliver the right quality, value, and reliability.
- Oversee major vendor partnerships and ensure strong ongoing performance.
- Lead contract discussions and manage agreement processes end to end.
- Track supplier results and take action to improve service, quality, and responsiveness.
- Improve supply chain efficiency and help reduce unnecessary spend.
- Work closely with finance, operations, and leadership stakeholders on procurement-related priorities.
- Set procurement policies and standards that support consistency and governance.
- Drive savings initiatives while also reducing sourcing and supplier risks.
- Use reporting and analysis to strengthen procurement decisions and continuously refine processes.
- Guide, coach, and develop procurement team members while promoting accountability and transparency.
- Support ethical sourcing practices across the procurement lifecycle.
Qualifications and background
This role calls for deep procurement and supply chain experience, especially in leading sourcing and purchasing work from start to finish. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in contract negotiation and contract management, including drafting, reviewing, and handling complex agreements.
Experience in supplier development is important, including supplier evaluation, onboarding, and performance improvement. Strong capability in strategic sourcing, cost analysis, and vendor risk management is required, along with sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
The position also requires proven leadership in managing procurement teams and partnering with colleagues across finance and operations. Strong communication, influence, and relationship-building abilities are essential for working effectively with senior stakeholders.
Experience in investment management, financial services, or a similar industry is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline is required, and an advanced degree or professional certification such as CPSM or CSCP is considered an advantage. The role also requires comfort working remotely, strong organization, and familiarity with digital collaboration and procurement tools.
