Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and drive a comprehensive procurement strategy supporting growth, profitability, and supply continuity across manufacturing and distribution.
- Lead strategic sourcing for direct materials, indirect expenses, logistics, equipment, services, and capital expenditures to reduce total cost of ownership.
- Manage global sourcing and trade compliance including HTS classification, duty/tariff policies, anti-dumping measures, and adherence to CBP, BIS, and OFAC regulations.
- Implement duty reduction strategies such as foreign trade zones, tariff engineering, and supplier diversification, responding to evolving trade policies including Section 232/301.
- Negotiate executive-level supplier agreements, commercial terms, rebate structures, and foster long-term strategic partnerships.
- Develop supplier risk management programs, scorecards, and multi-sourcing strategies to secure supply continuity.
- Collaborate with Finance and Planning to optimize working capital through inventory control and sourcing efficiencies.
- Deploy procurement technologies and analytics tools across multiple ERP platforms, including SAP, to enhance transparency and decision-making.
- Build and lead a high-performance procurement team promoting ethical sourcing, supplier diversity, and sustainability.
- Define and monitor procurement KPIs such as total landed cost, cost savings, supplier performance, inventory turns, working capital, and freight/duty compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Over 15 years of progressive leadership experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management within vertically integrated, multi-site industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Proven track record managing enterprise-level procurement in manufacturing, industrial products, building materials, or distribution sectors.
- Global sourcing expertise across Asia, Europe, and Mexico, including direct responsibilities for trade compliance, customs, tariffs, duties, and international logistics.
- Experience managing complex, multi-category spend covering over 10,000 SKUs.
- Proficiency with multiple ERP systems, notably SAP, for spend analysis and supplier management.
- Strong financial skills demonstrated by consistent delivery of cost savings, margin enhancement, and working capital improvements.
- Experience driving procurement transformation initiatives, category management frameworks, and technology implementations.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, Operations, or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications: MBA, industry experience in glass fabrication or aluminum extrusion, construction demand familiarity, expertise in foreign trade zones and tariff engineering, certifications such as APICS/ASCM, CPSM, Lean/Six Sigma, customs brokerage credentials, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
