About DomainTools

DomainTools stands as the global frontrunner in Internet intelligence, providing top-tier security teams with comprehensive data and machine learning-powered risk analytics in near real-time to identify external risks, investigate threats, and proactively safeguard organizations against evolving cyber threats.

Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Vice President of People Operations to spearhead hiring, onboarding, employee enablement, engagement, and oversee the management of our expanding global workforce. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role involves leading our People Operations strategy, functioning as a trusted advisor to the executive team, and fostering a strong culture within our remote-first, worldwide organization. You will manage a skilled team including an HR Manager, HR Generalist, Culture Ambassador/Office Manager, and an offshore Recruiter.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee global talent strategies encompassing recruiting, onboarding, third-party employer of record management, career development, and performance management to cultivate an inclusive, high-performing culture.
  • Act as a key member of the executive leadership team and provide trusted advice; prepare presentations for the Board of Directors when needed.
  • Lead HR operations and manage HRIS platforms such as Workday, 15Five, and GSuite to maintain efficiency during company scaling.
  • Drive leadership growth and career development initiatives supported by our Learning Management System.
  • Design organizational structures, plan workforce, execute succession planning, and apply people analytics to optimize the company for growth.
  • Own the compensation and benefits strategies and execution, including Radford compensation data management.
  • Promote and uphold company values — Impact, Customer First, Joy, Accountability, Teamwork, and Integrity — within a remote-first culture.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, manage diversity initiatives, employee relations, and mitigate organizational risks.
  • Advocate and implement emerging technologies like Generative AI within People Operations and across DomainTools, staying current with market trends to maintain a healthy, engaged employee base.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions by providing due diligence assistance and facilitating change management to integrate new employees effectively.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience leading People Operations teams for distributed, global workforces.
  • A strategic visionary who is also ready to engage directly in operational execution.
  • A sincere commitment to employee well-being with exceptional ability to build trust at all organizational levels.
  • Strong financial insight, especially related to Total Rewards and HR systems administration.
  • Collaborative problem solver with excellent influence skills throughout the organization.
  • High energy, positivity, and encouragement with a relentless dedication to supporting both the business and its people.
  • Capability to establish and maintain high standards for employee performance and accountability in concert with leadership teams.
  • Understanding the crucial balance between talent acquisition and budgeting, including cost management per employee.

Qualifications

  • Over 12 years of progressive leadership in HR or People Operations, preferably with experience in scaling distributed, fast-growing companies.
  • Sound business acumen, comprehensive labor law knowledge, and advanced conflict resolution skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Psychology; Master's or MBA preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR are advantageous.
