Position Overview

The Vice President of Operational Excellence serves as a pivotal leader dedicated to enhancing and refining the company's operational management framework. Responsible for shaping and executing the operational excellence strategy, this role emphasizes process reengineering, lean management practices, and cross-functional efficiency improvements to strengthen cost control, quality standards, and organizational productivity. The incumbent champions the adoption of standardized, digital, and continuously evolving operational systems to support the organization's competitive edge and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company's strategic plan for operational excellence, including medium- and long-term advancement roadmaps aligned with overall corporate goals.
  • Transition operations from experience-based to standardized, process-driven, and data-informed management systems.
  • Lead core business process enhancements and business process reengineering (BPR) initiatives leveraging continuous improvement approaches such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
  • Identify and eliminate process inefficiencies, enhancing efficiency, quality, and delivery capabilities.
  • Establish and manage company-wide cost optimization strategies to improve resource allocation, minimize operating expenses, and maximize profit margins alongside asset utilization.
  • Create unified operational standards and quality management systems to promote consistency, best practice replication, and improved customer satisfaction.
  • Drive the development and deployment of digital tools including ERP, MES, and BI platforms to facilitate data-driven decision-making and operational monitoring through KPIs and business analytics.
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments—production, supply chain, sales, finance, HR—by setting up an enterprise-level operations PMO or excellence office to steer strategic operational changes and projects.
  • Build and nurture a high-performing operations team focused on lean management and continuous improvement, fostering a culture of operational excellence embraced by all employees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines. Advanced qualifications such as an MBA or certifications in Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt are preferred.
  • Minimum of 20 years of extensive experience in operations management, process optimization, or continuous improvement roles with at least 15 years in senior leadership positions.
  • Proven track record of successfully architecting and implementing superior operational systems within large organizations.
