Role Overview

The Vice-President of Operational Excellence is a fully remote, full-time leadership position responsible for enhancing operational effectiveness across manufacturing and supply chain divisions. This executive will spearhead the creation and execution of operational excellence frameworks, focusing on process standardization, continuous enhancement programs, and the implementation of performance metrics tailored for PCB manufacturing and analogous technology sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing and engineering units to refine production processes and workflows.
  • Lead multifunctional projects aimed at minimizing waste and reducing production cycle durations.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements across operations.
  • Manage strategic operational planning and reinforce supply chain robustness.
  • Collaborate with senior executives on capacity planning, evaluate vendor performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide mentorship to leadership teams and nurture a culture focused on ongoing improvement.
  • Align operational plans and initiatives with the organization's long-term business strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Extensive experience in manufacturing operations management, especially within high-technology or electronic manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in operational excellence strategies such as lean practices, Six Sigma, process refinement, and performance monitoring based on key indicators.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management including procurement, logistics, inventory control, and global risk management.
  • Proven capability to lead remote, diverse teams and effectively influence both plant-level and executive stakeholders.
  • Successful history of deploying continuous improvement initiatives yielding quantifiable improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities supported by data-driven approaches and digital analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication aptitude, capable of conveying intricate operational matters to audiences without technical backgrounds.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business, or related disciplines is required; advanced degrees or certifications (Lean, Six Sigma, PMP) are advantageous.
  • Experience in executive or senior leadership roles within manufacturing or operations is highly preferred.
