Position Overview

The Vice President of Marketing Communications is a senior leadership role focused on shaping how the company communicates its brand, market presence, and integrated marketing message. This position drives brand value, visibility, and customer awareness through branding, media engagement, digital marketing, content creation, and public relations.

The role connects marketing, brand management, PR, digital communications, and sales, and is expected to lead initiatives that strengthen corporate growth and expand market influence.

The core objective of the position is to build stronger corporate influence and contribute to business expansion through effective brand and market communications.

Key Responsibilities

This role is accountable for developing global communication direction, managing brand messaging, coordinating integrated campaigns, and ensuring that all outward-facing communication supports business goals.

Global Marketing Communication Strategy

  • Create worldwide brand communication strategies.
  • Build and maintain an integrated marketing communications framework.
  • Prepare yearly communication plans aligned with growth priorities.
  • Support broader corporate expansion strategies through messaging and positioning.

Brand Strategy and Communication

  • Lead brand-building efforts across the organization.
  • Define and communicate brand positioning and value proposition.
  • Maintain consistency across all brand touchpoints.
  • Strengthen brand equity, awareness, reputation, and loyalty.

Integrated Marketing Communications

  • Coordinate messaging across advertising, digital channels, social media, public relations, and events.
  • Ensure all communication channels work together as one unified system.

Digital Marketing Communications

  • Oversee search engine marketing, content marketing, social media marketing, marketing automation, and data-led campaigns.
  • Use digital tools and performance insights to improve communication effectiveness.

Public Relations and Media Management

  • Build and sustain relationships with media contacts and industry analysts.
  • Support investor communications when needed.
  • Help establish crisis communication processes and response readiness.

Corporate Reputation Management

  • Shape and protect the company’s public image.
  • Support ESG-related communications.
  • Monitor public sentiment and coordinate crisis response efforts when required.

Events and Brand Promotion

  • Plan and execute industry summits, product launches, customer events, and global campaigns.
  • Use events and promotions to improve brand visibility and generate leads.

AI-Driven Marketing Communications

  • Apply AI tools to improve content creation and communication efficiency.
  • Use marketing automation and predictive analytics to sharpen audience understanding.
  • Support personalized communication based on customer insights.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, sales, product management, customer success, investor relations, and human resources.
  • Ensure communication stays aligned across departments.

Global Team Leadership

  • Lead a multi-functional team that may include leaders from brand communications, PR, digital marketing, content marketing, and event marketing.
  • Provide strategic direction and coordination across global communication functions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate typically brings a background in marketing, journalism, communications, public relations, business management, or international business. An MBA is preferred.

This position generally requires 12 to 20+ years of experience, including exposure to brand marketing, corporate communications, digital marketing, and global team leadership. Prior experience as a Brand Director, PR Director, Marketing Director, or Head of Corporate Communications is preferred.

Reporting Structure
