Job description
About Manière De Voir
Manière De Voir, which translates to "way of seeing" in French, is a premium multi-gender fashion label established in 2013 by Reece Wabara. It operates with a digital-first approach, achieving over $65 million in annual revenue while maintaining profitability without external funding. The brand is noted for its minimalist, design-forward styles positioned between luxury and high street fashion.
The company runs four global retail locations across London (Oxford Street and Battersea Power Station), New York's SoHo, and The Dubai Mall, supported by e-commerce in the UK/US and wholesale partnerships with notable retailers such as Nordstrom, Farfetch, Ounass, and an impending Bloomingdale's collaboration. Having solidified its product, e-commerce, international retail presence, and partner channels, Manière De Voir is poised for further global expansion through enhanced marketing capability.
Role Overview
The VP of Marketing will be based in New York, reporting directly to the Founder and CEO with primary responsibility for shaping and executing the overall marketing strategy. This leadership role encompasses oversight of brand marketing, performance marketing, and customer growth and retention functions, ensuring alignment with commercial goals and brand objectives.
This senior position requires building and leading a new, integrated marketing organization from the ground up, with direct leadership over Brand Marketing, Performance Marketing, and the Head of Customer Growth & Retention. The role partners closely with the VP of Creative, who retains responsibility for creative direction without direct reporting.

- Design and recruit a high-performing, multi-disciplinary marketing team fostering alignment between commercial targets and long-term brand equity.
- Drive brand marketing strategy including audience development, market positioning, and integrated campaign planning across product launches, retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels.
- Lead performance marketing efforts focusing on global customer acquisition, optimizing media spend across paid social, paid search, and other channels to balance demand generation and capture.
- Oversee customer growth and retention strategies to ensure cohesive customer journeys and shared accountability between acquisition and retention teams.
- Manage the total marketing budget across brand, performance, and customer growth initiatives, ensuring resource allocation aligns with commercial opportunities and effectiveness.
- Implement comprehensive measurement systems incorporating marketing attribution, incrementality testing, and performance analytics linking investment to revenue and brand health.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with the creative leadership to ensure aligned brand messaging and campaign execution.
- Support omnichannel and international expansion efforts by tailoring marketing strategies for the US, UK, and other key markets, facilitating new store openings and wholesale partnerships.
Initial 12-Month Goals
- Establish the core marketing team with clearly defined leadership roles and accountability structures.
- Deliver profitable growth in new customer acquisition, improving marketing efficiency and customer cohort quality.
- Put in place integrated planning and measurement frameworks linking brand, performance marketing, and retention to commercial KPI’s across channels.
Success Metrics
- Incremental marketing ROI and contribution to profitability.
- Growth in new customer acquisition with cost and payback targets met.
- Improvement in customer lifetime value and repeat purchase metrics for new customer cohorts.
- Brand demand and health indicators across prioritized markets.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience in marketing within a premium fashion brand, including scaling founder-led startups into mature, multi-channel marketing organizations.
- Proven expertise in brand and performance marketing integration, managing substantial budgets, and delivering efficiency while supporting brand development and e-commerce economics.
- Strong leadership with ability to build and inspire multi-disciplinary teams familiar with ecommerce, retail, wholesale, and premium fashion market dynamics.
- Commercially savvy with sound financial judgment, able to connect brand strategy with measurable business results.
- Highly effective in founder-led environments and skilled at collaborating with creative leaders, balancing strategic vision with execution focus.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary ranging from $225,000 to $275,000 depending on experience.
- Performance-related annual bonus potential of 20-30% of base salary based on marketing, customer growth, profitability, and company goals.
- Comprehensive healthcare benefits provided.
- Employment visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates.
