Role Overview
Our client, a well-established and expanding manufacturer in the snack food sector, is searching for an experienced Vice President of Manufacturing. This executive role requires oversight of manufacturing operations across various facilities, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, service, and profitability goals while driving operational excellence.
Key Duties
- Deliver strategic oversight and leadership across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Design and implement manufacturing strategies supporting growth and operational goals.
- Enhance safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Guide, cultivate, and mentor Plant Managers and senior manufacturing staff.
- Manage production, maintenance, engineering, and continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams for operational synergy and success.
- Lead capital investment initiatives, including automation and facility enhancements.
- Develop and track KPIs to foster accountability and operational excellence.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, Food Science, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of advancing leadership experience in manufacturing within the snack food or general food production industry.
- Proven record of managing manufacturing operations across multiple locations.
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, food safety, and operational performance.
- Strong leadership skills with a history of building effective teams and achieving tangible business outcomes.
- Exceptional strategic planning and communication abilities.
