Position Overview

The Vice President of Learning and Leadership Development plays a crucial strategic role in shaping and implementing Dyne’s enterprise-wide leadership, management, and employee capability initiatives. This executive crafts and leads the company’s learning philosophy and frameworks, aligning learning processes and training delivery with organizational goals. Positioned on the HR Leadership Team, the role engages closely with executive and senior leadership to enhance leadership capability and organizational performance throughout Dyne’s growth phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and roll out a comprehensive, multi-year leadership development plan aligned with corporate values and growth objectives.
  • Create impactful leadership training experiences tailored for executives, senior and emerging leaders, as well as first-time managers and individual contributors.
  • Enhance leadership competencies in areas including strategic and enterprise thinking, change and decision leadership, collaboration, executive communication, people management, and digital/AI literacy.
  • Formulate leadership competency frameworks and development paths consistent with Dyne’s career architecture.
  • Design a scalable, high-quality manager development curriculum to equip leaders to coach, provide feedback, support employee growth, manage change, and build high-performance teams.
  • Implement organizational metrics to assess manager readiness and effectiveness.
  • Lead enterprise-wide learning programs that develop essential business, leadership, and functional skills utilizing blended instructional methods.
  • Act as the central coordinator for company-wide training, ensuring consistency, alignment, and integration across functions and compliance areas.
  • Oversee onboarding initiatives accelerating new employee engagement and productivity, collaborating with Commercial and Medical training teams to support market-facing roles.
  • Collaborate with Talent Management and HR partners to integrate leadership development with succession planning, talent reviews, and career advancement.
  • Design accelerated development programs for high-potential leaders to build robust succession pipelines for critical roles.
  • Drive efforts to enhance leadership team alignment, accountability, innovation, and organizational culture through workshops and change initiatives.
  • Develop and apply meaningful metrics to evaluate learning effectiveness, leadership strength, and organizational impact, leveraging data insights for continuous improvement.
  • Lead and grow a high-performing Learning & Leadership Development team, managing budgets and partnerships with external providers and executive coaches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Over 20 years of progressive leadership experience in learning and leadership development, organizational development, or related fields.
  • Proven expertise designing enterprise-wide leadership development strategies in fast-growing, commercial-stage organizations.
  • Strong track record collaborating with executive leadership and influencing at senior and board levels.
  • Extensive knowledge of adult learning principles, leadership methodologies, organizational effectiveness, and culture transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability managing change initiatives and driving organizational growth with resilience and adaptability.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the capacity to tailor messaging to diverse audiences to facilitate alignment and action.
  • Digital-first mindset, embracing emerging technologies such as AI and automation to enhance learning programs and business results.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a hands-on approach to executing in dynamic, high-growth environments.

Compensation

The annual base salary for this role ranges from $310,000 to $355,000 USD, reflecting the expected pay scale based on qualifications and experience. Actual compensation may vary depending on individual factors such as education and demonstrated skills.
