Job description

Position Overview

LifeCare Home Health Family is recruiting for the Vice President of Operations for its Texas region. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role mandates ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations across all agency and branch policies. The position is vital for equipping teams with the knowledge and resources needed to deliver safe, effective patient care.

Clinical Leadership

  • Guarantee delivery of compassionate, high-quality hospice care that follows clinical best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Track and assess patient care plans, quality indicators, and clinical results.
  • Supervise clinical personnel including nurses, social workers, chaplains, and aides, ensuring they receive adequate training and maintain competency.

Operational Oversight

  • Manage daily hospice operations such as staffing, scheduling, and utilization of resources.
  • Create and enforce operational policies and procedures to achieve efficiency.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial reports, and manage cost control within hospice services.
  • Identify growth opportunities and expand hospice offerings in the community.
  • Establish strong partnerships with healthcare providers, hospitals, and community groups for referral development.
  • Lead marketing efforts and community outreach to promote hospice care.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in hospice care with a strong background in clinical leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in operational management and business development within healthcare sectors.
  • Thorough knowledge of hospice-related regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication capabilities, adept at working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Education and Licensing

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree (MSN), healthcare administration, or related field also advantageous.
  • Preferred licensure: Registered Nurse.
