Vice President of Global Supply Chain

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Vice President of Global Supply Chain to spearhead our organization’s worldwide supply chain strategy and operational execution. This pivotal executive position will focus on developing scalable global supply chain capabilities, optimizing end-to-end operations, reinforcing strong supplier relationships, and ensuring the company is equipped to sustain growth in both domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft and implement the global supply chain strategy aligned with corporate goals, operational needs, and long-term business objectives.
• Direct leadership across all supply chain elements, including demand and supply planning, procurement, inventory management, logistics, transportation, warehousing, fulfillment, and supplier relationship oversight.
• Collaborate closely with executive leadership to ensure global supply chain initiatives complement the business strategy, financial targets, and customer expectations.
• Develop integrated planning processes that boost operational efficiency, optimize inventory, improve service quality, and enable scalability.
• Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with worldwide suppliers, logistics providers, contract manufacturers, and other key stakeholders to maintain operational excellence.
• Implement enterprise-wide supply chain governance, operating procedures, performance metrics, and continuous improvement programs across global operations.
• Oversee supply chain performance using executive dashboards, data analytics, forecasting models, and KPIs to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead supply chain transformation efforts including digitalization, automation, advanced planning systems, and process enhancements.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks ensuring strong business continuity, supplier resilience, and long-term supply chain stability.
• Work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Service, Product, Engineering, and Technology teams to promote alignment and execution excellence.
• Assess and optimize ERP systems, supply chain planning platforms, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), analytics tools, and other enterprise technologies.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop senior supply chain leaders while promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related fields.
• Advanced degrees such as an MBA are highly desired.
• Over 24 years of progressive leadership experience in global supply chain management, logistics, procurement, manufacturing, or equivalent executive roles.
• Proven ability to manage complex global supply chains involving multiple regions and challenging operational contexts.
• Deep knowledge of supply chain strategy, integrated business planning, procurement, inventory management, logistics, supplier relations, transportation, distribution, and operational excellence principles.
• Strong expertise in governance, demand forecasting, business continuity, risk mitigation, and performance evaluation.
• Experience in leading enterprise-wide transformation and strategic cross-functional projects.
• Excellent financial, analytical, and business planning skills capable of supporting executive-level decision-making.
• Superior communication, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with ERP implementations, advanced planning systems, supply chain analytics, WMS, TMS, and other relevant enterprise software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications like CSCP, CPIM, CPSM, Lean Six Sigma, or related credentials are advantageous.
• Background supporting industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, life sciences, technology, consumer products, retail, industrial sectors, aerospace, or logistics.
• Leadership experience in global supply chain transformations, network optimization, digital modernization, integrated business planning, and operational excellence programs.
• Familiarity with predictive analytics, automation, AI applications, and innovative supply chain planning approaches.
