This opportunity is best suited to a procurement leader who can create scalable sourcing approaches, develop and inspire strong teams, and work seamlessly with leaders across several departments. The position gives you the chance to influence enterprise-wide procurement initiatives while helping the business grow through smarter supplier management and better operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement procurement plans that support organizational priorities and longer-term growth.
- Oversee end-to-end procurement activity, including strategic sourcing, category oversight, supplier management, buying processes, and contract handling.
- Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing procurement team while promoting teamwork, ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Build durable supplier relationships that improve quality, service levels, efficiency, and overall business value.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Engineering, Product Management, Legal, and other teams to keep procurement aligned with business needs.
- Design sourcing approaches that raise supplier performance, boost efficiency, and scale with the organization.
- Assess supplier strengths, market dynamics, and industry movement to uncover opportunities for better purchasing outcomes and added value.
- Set procurement policies, governance frameworks, and best practices that support consistency, clarity, and operational excellence.
- Track procurement results using KPIs, supplier scorecards, and operational reports to inform decisions with data.
- Drive process-improvement efforts that streamline procurement workflows, improve supplier collaboration, and enhance overall performance.
- Share procurement results, strategic plans, and business recommendations with senior leaders and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related area is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of increasing responsibility in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or purchasing, with substantial leadership experience.
- A strong history of building procurement strategies that improve supplier performance, operational efficiency, and business results.
- Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, category management, contract management, procurement operations, and negotiation.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and partnering with multiple business groups in complex organizations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong analytical thinking, strategic judgment, and problem-solving skills, supported by a data-led approach to decisions.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, procurement platforms, supplier management tools, spend analytics solutions, and reporting software.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while delivering procurement excellence in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in manufacturing, technology, healthcare, consumer products, retail, industrial, logistics, professional services, or similarly procurement-heavy industries.
- Experience leading procurement transformation, sourcing optimization, supplier performance improvement, or operational excellence programs.
- Exposure to global sourcing methods and supplier networks across multiple regions.
- Professional certifications in procurement, supply chain management, sourcing, or operations are an advantage.
What We Offer
- A fully remote role available anywhere within the United States.
- A senior leadership position with real influence over enterprise procurement strategy and operational results.
- The chance to lead a high-performing procurement organization focused on supplier excellence, efficiency, and sustainable growth.
- A collaborative, innovative, and performance-focused workplace.
- A competitive compensation package with comprehensive benefits.
