Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Vice President of Global Supplier Management to spearhead our worldwide supplier network, procurement approach, and supplier performance initiatives. This senior leadership position requires fostering robust supplier collaborations, guaranteeing uninterrupted supply, enhancing cost-effectiveness, and contributing to the company's long-term expansion.
Key Duties
- Design and implement a comprehensive global supplier management plan aligned with organizational and operational objectives.
- Oversee supplier selection, validation, performance evaluation, and relationship cultivation throughout international markets.
- Establish and nurture strategic alliances with pivotal suppliers to secure quality, dependability, innovation, and competitive pricing.
- Manage procurement workflows, supplier dealings, and contractual agreements.
- Track supplier risks, ensure supply chain continuity, compliance adherence, and resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Legal, and R&D departments to achieve business goals.
- Drive metrics for supplier performance, generate reports, and lead continuous improvement processes.
- Identify ways to achieve cost reductions, optimize procedures, and enhance supply chain robustness.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing global supplier management team.
- Provide executive leadership with insights on suppliers, market trends, and strategic advice.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor's degree; MBA or a comparable advanced qualification is favored.
- Over 10 years of experience in supplier management, procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or related areas.
- Track record of successful leadership in global supplier partnerships and cross-departmental projects.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Proficient in supplier risk assessment, contract oversight, and driving performance improvements.
- Adept at operating within dynamic, matrix-structured, international business settings.
- Demonstrated leadership in team development and organizational influence.
Preferred Background
- Experience in manufacturing, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, technology, retail, or other global supply chain sectors.
- Expertise managing strategic suppliers across varied global regions.
- Knowledge of supply chain data analysis, ERP platforms, and procurement software.
